Having heard so many different rumors about the Kindle 4 there is certainly no doubt that for most people a color option is going to be what is going to please.

From online rumors we seem to be at a bit of a difference of opinion as to whether the actual Kindle is going to be a color option or if this is going to be saved for an Amazon tablet. As of yet we simply have no firm news. Many believe that there is no way that Amazon are going to release a new Kindle 4 without it being color. While others seem pretty sure it is a Kindle touch that will be released, along with Amazon tablets.

In a way it makes sense to get rid of the keyboard although on the Amazon forum there is a lot of debate and opinions about if this is a good idea or not.

But judging by various polls online there is no doubt that most want a color Kindle 4 before they would want a touch screen. Save it for the tablet seems to be a popular war cry.

But with the Nook and other devices moving over to a more tablet based format it simply remains to be seen what we get.

From a user point of view a color screen would seem the best option, it opens up the world of online magazine subscriptions and even opens up the market for parents to buy color e-books for bedtime reading with the children. But with almost all new electronic devices now going down the touch screen route it simply remains to be seen.

A combination of both may even be likely, but doubtful as we are then looking at basically a tablet and we already know that this is definitely on the cards for later in the year. The Kindle 4 release date is hopefully not far of, let’s just hope that it is for the e-book reader as well as a tablet.
